| Our association started this annual program 3 years ago. We are about to have our 3rd annual hookin up and hangin out. This is a day for our towers to come out and enjoy the company and commoradory of their fellow towers. Everyone is welcome whether they are a member of our association or if they are not. We want them to come see what being a part of an association could do for them. In the past we have had from 120 to 150 people attend this event and we run it from 11am to 6pm and throughout the day we put on all different kinds of demonstrations with all different equipment. We will do recoveries with heavy duty tow trucks, we will do rollovers with school buses, we do an air bag demonstration, we have portable scales and we have people pull their trucks in and we weigh each axle if they like and give them a paper with that information so they have that in their file. Towers from each side of the state can talk to other towers that have the same problems that they do and everybody can share ideas about how things can be done, maybe pick up a new idea or share tricks of the trade with each other. We go over motorcycle towing, dolly wheel demonstrations and self loading tow trucks. When you attend, you have the opportunity to help with these demonstrations, ask questions, and we have had owners who have just purchased a larger truck and brought it and other towers help them with what it may be capable of doing and how to do it safely. This is a day for towers and their trucks. There is no test, there is no competition, and there is no fee, this is just a day of fun and sharing.
